Lars Tallert

Lars has during his 25 years as a professional communicator worked in many different sectors – development cooperation, water, forest, dairy, culture and telecommunications, to mention a few. He started as a journalist based in Central America in the early 80ies. Since then he has specialized in marketing, strategic communication and during the last five years on communication in development projects. As a journalist and consultant he has been active in more than 50 countries and is presently working in projects in Ukraine, Vietnam and Tanzania. Among his clients and counterparts can be mentioned Sida, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden, OECD/DAC, The Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine, ÅF International, Ministry of Housing of Kenya, UN-Habitat, the Municipality of Jurmala, The Hanoi Opera, The Municipality  of Tegucigalpa, The Bolivian Industrial Chamber, and the Nicaraguan Human Rights organisation CENIDH.

Lars has a masters degree in strategic communication and several exams from the School of Public Communication at Boston University, Université de la Sorbonne in Paris and the Institute of Superior Publicity Education and The Department of Journalism, Media and Communication (JMK) at Stockholm University. He speaks Swedish, English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and German.

On the side he plays old-time fiddle and a funky saxophone and was earlier co-owner of the multi-culture club “AfroViking” – but that is a completely different story.
