Thanks to our travels around the world we have gained substantial experience from interaction with other cultures and communication in intercultural contexts. This knowledge and these experiences can certainly also be used in Sweden and this is why integration has become one of Global Reporting's focus areas.
We have worked with several local and central government agencies. For the Integration Board we have produced books such as The Way In – Voices on Integration and Gender Equality and Everybody Should Be Treated the Same – Eleven Stories About Active Measures for Integration and Diversity in a Workplace.
Global Reporting has also worked with the Ministry for Integration and Gender Equality and the Delegation for Roma Issues.
Since 2009, Global Reporting has been working with the County Administration in the Stockholm County with the project Theme Newcomers. The aim of the project is to facilitate integration of newcomers into the society and the labour market. We are responsible for strategic communication and regularly produce texts for the newsletter and the website of the project.
A similar project was started by the county administration of Södermanland. On their behalf we wrote a book entitled Diversity, Courage, Market, which portrays the influence of ever-increasing globalisation on Sweden. It also describes how a diversity of people is an asset to our society that we need to utilise in a better way.
