Environmental issues are global by nature. Addressing them requires global competence - something that Global Reporting has acquired through years of international work.
Global Reporting has for many years monitored Swedish environmental work in Russia and the Baltic states. We have communicated the EU Strategy on the Baltic Sea Region focusing on sustainability of environment. We have worked with strategic communication in the Ukrainian forestry sector and in a major water project in Iraq.
We have communicated the effects of climate change, discussed economic growth vs. environmental sustainability and worked on projects on marine environment, urban environments and natural disasters.
Essential communication on sexual and reproductive health
Sexual and reproductive health and rights is another of our focus areas. These issues are sensitive in many countries as they are related to gender equality and women’s right to decide over their own sexuality.
We have arranged several conferences about the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS and our staff have contributed to Reality Counts, a book published by the Swedish Association for Sexuality Education.
Global Reporting also has experience from working with public health and preventive action with focus on water, sanitation and hygiene.
For the Swedish branch of Plan International and Non-smoking Generation we have assisted in planning and conducted documentation of the seminar Tobacco and Poverty that aimed at making tobacco a development issue.
